“[T]he world we sense is real … and not only real, but
good. …[T]he battle that rages on within us or without us has a real purpose, i.e.,
a real end, for our souls. And while you may not fight a Cyclops as a moment in
your journal or stand atop a mount to engage a new world in battle, what is left for
us is greater than all of that. As St. Paul said, ‘So faith, hope, love abide, these
three; but the greatest of these is love’ (1 Cor 13:13). Journey is about hope; battle
I believe concerns faith. And both, in their less-than-perfect explanation, give us
the possibility of love.”

In addition to a one-time donation, please consider forms of legacy giving. Here are a just few basic items that can easily be arranged and would have a far-reaching and beneficial impact.
- Estate plan (Will or Trust) leave a specific amount, or a percentage (like a tithe).
- Retirement Accounts are taxable when you take the money out, but not if you direct your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to be paid directly to a not-for-profit corporation like St. Augustine’s Press.
- Appreciated assets like stocks and land will cause capital gains taxes if you sell them––but not if you donate it to St. Augustine’s Press.
- Life Insurance––especially older policies that are no longer needed for their original purpose. You can make us a beneficiary.
Please contact Catherine Godfrey at [email protected] if you would like to discuss these opportunities further.
Thank you.
